  • What was the inspiration behind inventing the Pocket Peepers reading lens?
  • Constantly forgetting or losing reading glasses.  If we could devise something that fits in your wallet, which is always with you, you would never be embarrassed or frustrated by being unable to read again!
  • How does it work?
  • A universal strength optical lens works for everyone regardless of your required strength.  By holding the lens above the reading material and then moving it slowly towards the face until you have found the correct focal point (perfect focus).
  • Do Pocket Peepers scratch?
  • A Pocket Peeper is an optical lens.  It has a hard polymer coating to prevent scratching under normal use.  Peepers need to be treated like you would a pair of prescription glasses.
  • What is the difference between a Pocket Peeper and a magnifying glass?
  • A Pocket Peepers is a true optical lens covering all strengths from + 1.25 to +2.50.  A Fresnel lens or magnifying glass will magnify something held directly under it, however as you move the lens away from the reading material, the print becomes large and fuzzy and does not allow you to read a broader range of print such as a full menu.

  • A Pocket Peeper is credit card size so that it conveniently fits in your wallet or credit card holder.
  • How was the need for multiple strengths eliminated?

  • Anytime they find themselves without their reading glasses and in a pinch to read short tasks like menu, map etc.

  • Who uses Pocket Peepers?
  • Everyone who wears reading glasses and occasionally forgets them.
  • Can children or young people who need reading glasses use a Pocket Peeper?
  • Pocket Peepers even work for people who do not wear reading glasses but need to see very small print.  I recently had an architect call me who said it worked great for reading the very fine print on blue prints.  He generally uses a magnifying glass but found that when he lifted it up to get a greater field of vision, the print became large and blurry.
  • Can a Pocket Peeper eliminate a person’s need for reading glasses all together?
  • Absolutely Not!  This product is for short reading tasks when you find that you do not have your reading glasses with you, or chose not to carry them.  Pocket Peepers will complement to your reading glasses.
